He was godfather for Arthur Plantagenet, 1st Viscount Lisle <http://www.tudorplace.com.ar/Bios/ArthurPlantagenet(1VLisle).htm> at his baptism in Sep 1476. Fought on Richard III's side at the Battle of Bosworth <http://www.tudorplace.com.ar/Documents/the_battle_of_bosworth.htm>, but was pardoned by Henry VII <http://www.tudorplace.com.ar/aboutHenryVIII.htm>. He succeeded to the title of 16th Earl of Arundel circa 1487. He held the office of Warden of the New Forest in 1489. He held the office of Lieutenant of the Order of the Garter on 19 Jul 1489. He held the office of Lieutenant of the Order of the Garter in 1517.
