future wife's father] for 2 years on his petition for land [as
a loyalist]

Anecdote, 16 Oct 1807, Niagara, , Ontario, Canada. 4122 Oct 16, 1807 at Niagara, Niagara District; "The King vs. George
Burgher for grand larceny, George Burgher was bound in
recognizance, himself in the sum of 50, and Joshua Petit of
Stamford and John Maybee of Willoughby, his sureties, in 25
each, on condition that the said George Burgher do appear to
take his trial on this indictment at the next Assizes to be
held in and for the Niagara District."
