Admiral Hon. Sir George Cranfield Berkeley gained the rank of Admiral in the service of the Royal Navy.2 He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.).1 He held the office of Lord High Admiral of Portugal.2 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography
