she was one of the main stirrers in the Rising of the Earls <http://www.tudorplace.com.ar/Documents/NorthernRebellion.htm>. Fled over the border into Scotland with her husband after the uprising was subdued. Left Scotland and travelled to Flanders. She had given birth to a baby in Old Aberdeen on 11 Jun 1570 and on 23 Aug boarded a ship, arriving with her baby at Bruges on 31 Aug 1570. In Flanders, she was to live in various places, i.a. Malines (1572), Brussels (1574), Liege (1575).
Anne married Thomas Percy 7th Earl Northumberland  [MRIN: 551611849], son of Sir Thomas Percy  and Eleanor Harbottle . (Thomas Percy 7th Earl Northumberland  was born between 1528 and 1534 in Petworth, Sussex, England and died on 22 Aug 1572 in York, Yorkshire, England.)
