  Noted events in her life were:

• Acceded: Countess of Nevers, 1262. On the death of her mother in 1262, Yolande, became the titular countess of Nevers, which included the counties of Tonnerre and Auxerre. However, in 1273 the arbitrators at the Parlement de Paris decided that the inheritance would be split among the sisters: Yolande got Nevers, Marguerite, inherited Tonnerre and Alix, Auxerre. Their aunt Agnes received the Bourbon fiefs.

Yolande married John Tristan of France Capet Count of Valois and Never [11381] [MRIN: 5141], son of Louis IX (St. Louis) of France Capet King of France [5590] and Marguerite of Provence Berenger [5591], on 1 Jun 1265. (John Tristan of France Capet Count of Valois and Never [11381] was born on 8 Apr 1250 in Damietta, Egypt, died on 3 Aug 1270 in Tunis, Tunisia and was buried in Basilica of St Denis.). The cause of his death was dysentery.

Yolande next married Robert III of Béthune, Lion of Flanders Count of Flanders [11382] [MRIN: 5142], son of Guy of Dampierre Count of Flanders [11383] and Matilda of Bethune [49011], in Mar 1272 in Auxerre, France. (Robert III of Béthune, Lion of Flanders Count of Flanders [11382] was born in 1249, died on 17 Sep 1322 and was buried in Saint Martin's Cathedral in Ypres. Flanders.)
