Speaking of John Cheney
As he left no son, the title became extinct for a time and the estates passed on his death in 1496 to his nephew Thomas, the son of his younger brother William. Under him the star of the House of Cheyney rose to its zenith and culminated in a visit of Royalty to Shurland House.
William married Isabella Boleyn [19294] [MRIN: 9228], daughter of Geoffrey Boleyn Lord Mayor of London [19292] and Anne Hoo [19293], about 1480. (Isabella Boleyn [19294] died in 1485.)
William next married Agnes (Margaret) Young [40551] [MRIN: 11505] about 1484 in Shurland House, Eastchurch, Kent, England.
