"She was stillborn because the doctors were all in the war and the only doctor in town was drunk -- got her turned around around and didn't take her out and she suffocated -- torn my mother's inside up and made a mess -- she is buried in the family plot in Roselawn Cemetery in Berwick, PA -- we bought her a tomb stone one year for Mother's and Father's Day after we grew up -- mom and dad never had the money to buy one for her -- they both cried." -- Paulene Beach |
