per Janice Sutherland...town of Ingersoll Vital Statistics has dob as April 15, 1855...Janice also says she was buried in Ingersoll Rural Cemetery...obit-Ingersoll Tribune 2 Feb1933...Mrs. William Shelton...death Thursday afternoon, Jan 26th...widow of William Shelton...passed away at her home, 91 Canterbury Street...in poor health for the past nine months...ill with pneumonia...was in her 79th year...born in Salford...spent greater part of her life in Dereham Twp...before coming to Ingersoll about 28 years ago...was a member of Trinity United Church...husband predeceased her about 25 years ago...surviving are two sons, martin [Dereham Twp];Denzil [Hamilton; three daughters-Mrs. william Foster, Woodstock; Mrs. David Pitcher, Felion, MI and Mrs. Allen Johnston, Ingersoll. Mrs. Charles Quinn of Dereham Twp, a step-daughter and two sisters also survive...
