Sir Robert Ogle was a captain in charge of 600 northern men under the command of Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick at the first Battle of St. Albans in 1455. He led the decisive attack on the Lancastrians, breaking through a barricade and into the streets of St. Albans. He was created Baron on the coronation of Edward IV. He was one of the leaders of the siege of Bamburgh in 1462.
