George FitzGerald, 16th Earl of Kildare was born on 23 January 1611/12. He was the son of Thomas FitzGerald and Frances Randolph . He married Lady Joan Boyle , daughter of Sir Richard Boyle, 1st Earl of the County of Cork and Catherine Fenton , on 15 August 1630.1 He died in 1660.
George FitzGerald, 16th Earl of Kildare also went by the nick-name of 'The Fairy Earl'. He gained the title of 16th Earl of Kildare. He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.2
