Benjamin Foster moved from Essex County Massachusetts to Rockingham County, New Hampshire about 1740 when four of his children were married. As stated in the Hampstead town records, and in 1760 the old folks with two sons and two daughters moved to Granville. Mr. Foster died the day after landing, and his wife after 45 years, a widow.
