John Matthew Chute and Margaret Lovicia Whitman Chute:
"John Matthew Chute, born January 23, 1819; married Margaret, daughter of James Whitman, 1841. Mr. Chute was a good school teacher, and taught in Halifax, Aylesford and other places. He died at or near Nictaux, July 15, 1850; she died May 13, 1852, aged thirty."
