The location where Frank had Whiteman Coal & Wood still exists today, now known as the Sanders Saw Mill (1011 S. Walnut Street) on the corner of Walnut and Sample Streets in South Bend, IN. psg 6-15-2004
After more research, I found that Whiteman Coal & Wood was listed in the Polk City Directory for the years from 1950 until 1971. In 1971, both Whiteman Coal & Wood and Sanders Lumber are listed in the same location. There was no listing for the years 1972 or 1973, but then listed Donald (son of Frank), as an engineer for Sanders Lumber.
