Sir John Davie, 1st Bt. was born in 1589.³ He is the son of John Davy and Willmott Petre .² He married, firstly, Juliana Strode , daughter of Sir William Strode .³ He married, secondly, Isabel Hele in 1629.¹
Sir John Davie, 1st Bt. held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Tiverton in 1621.³ He held the office of High Sheriff of Devon in 1629.³ He was created 1st Baronet Davie, of Creedy [England] on 9 September 1641.³ He lived at Creedy .³
