Supporter of King Charles, who spent the morning of 4 Jun 1644 in his home, as the king was returning from the battle of Edgecot Hill. Added further to the family holdings, acquiring 2 yardlands formerly held by the Curtis family. Buried with his wife at Northleigh. His tomb inscription: "In ye church were interred the bodies of Ed. Perrot, Esq., and of Mary his wife (daughtr of William Stonhouse of Radley in ye county of Berks., Bart.) He was son of Robert ye son of Simon (see ye next monument and a monumt in St. Peters ye East Church in Oxford), and father of Robert ye father of Edwd (see ye monument over ye family seat in ye church) and of Chas. ye present survr: all successive inheritors of ye estates of Northleigh and ye manor of North Hinksey in ye county of Berks. Edward Perrot died 1684, aged 92. Mary died 1658. This monument erected by C.P., 1732." His arms were Perrot impaling Rogers.
