William was born in 1685 in New Kent County, Virginia . William's father was William Herndon and his mother was Catherine Digges . His paternal grandparents were William Herndon and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Edward Digges and Elizabeth Page . He had two brothers named Edward and James . He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 74 in 1759 in Caroline County, Virginia .
