bullet  General Notes:

It is believed that this John Mabie is the son of Albert Mabie
and his second wife, Maria Hogan. While there is no documental
evidence that Albert's John married Nancy Manck (Monk) and
founded the St. Lawrence County branch of the family, the
Barnard Mabie who married Nancy Klock on December 14, 1828 came
from Openheim and census records and baptismal records verify
that this, our Barnard was the son of John Mabie and
Nancy(Anna) Manck. While the question of proof remains, these
records will show that Barnard's line traces down from Albert
Mabie and Maria Hogan.
