Buried at Hillingdon, where in the chancel under the south window there is a fine brass to his memory. This is the effigy of a man in armour with a chain round his neck, supporting a tall cross, with the Arms and Quartering of Stanley. The inscription now lost from the brass is recorded as follows: "Here lies Henry Stanley, esquire, son of Thomas, late Earl of Derby and Anne, Countess of Derby, brother to Edward, Earl of Derby, which Henry deceased 29th day of Jun AD 1528".
