of Wyerton House, Kent. Entered Gray's Inn in 1563 or 1568 (Foster, Re.), was made Master of the Rolls in Ireland in 1593 and died at Cork early in 1613. He purchased Wierton House, Boughton, Kent from the Norton family. He inherited Bobbing Court, Kent from his 2nd wife Mary Southwell. Will dated 16 Nov 1612 - a transcript is in the Society of Genealogists. He states he is to be buried in St. Sepulchre church without Newgate near '...my first wife and monument to be made over us...' To the poor of Leeds he left 20 marks to poor of the parish of Leeds in Kent. To poor of the parish of Boughton Monchelsey, Bobbing and Bridge in said co. £10. To his wife Dame Afra leases and goods she bought him, coach .... £200 also manor or principal mess? called Wyerton in Boughton Monchelseay aforesaid for life. To Sir Henry Wooton leave £10 for a ring. Having lately sold his parsonage and rectory of West Wickham Bucks, said wife with advice of his cousin Thomas Culpepper of Greeneways Court, Co. Kent and his nephew John Barker, citizen of London to use purchase '...in bying lands all for my son Anthony S in fee £500 thereof to Conyers Clifford my late wifes son... Dame Mary Clifford at 21. To my now wife base ? my house in London for term and furniture therein during minority of said son Anthony S. Said wife and said son Anthony to be .... with advice of said cousin Thomas Culpeper and newphew Barker. To said wife any sent her and me by her brother Sir Henry Wootton. To Henry Clifford my late wifes elder son any that was Sir Conyer Cliffords at...' Buried with his first wife, Eleanor Markham.

Anthony married Mary Southwell [13191] [MRIN: 551611335], daughter of Sir Francis Southwell [47070] and Barbara Spencer [47072]. (Mary Southwell [13191] was born in 1566 in Windham Hall, Norfolk, England, died on 19 Dec 1603 in Dublin, Ireland and was buried in St. Patricks Church, Dublin, Ireland.)
