He died before 1166 at Bronllys Tower, Breconshire, Wales , mortally hurt by a stone dropped from the tower, without issue.1 William of Hereford held the office of King's Constable.1 He succeeded to the title of Lord Abergavenny [Feudal] circa 1164.1
