Raymond V of Provence Berenger 4th Count of Provence [8402] 24
- Born: 1198
- Marriage: Beatrice de Savoie [11402] on 5 Jun 1219
- Died: 19 Aug 1245 at age 47
Another name for Raymond was Ramon Berenguer IV, Count of Provence.
General Notes:
Berenger was the last and most illustrious of the Royal Provençal Counts; and, even had he not been the sovereign of the land of song, his own verses would have entitled him to a distinguised rank among the Troubadour poets. He was relatively impoverished count who could provide little dowry for his daughters.
