• Anecdote, 1779, Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York. 10518 Although arrested as a Loyalist with his father in 1779 and
jailed at Poughkeepsie for a short time, his further
involvement, if any, as a Loyalist is not recorded.

• Residence, Bet 1780 and 1791, Farm on Prospect Avenue, Park Ridge, Bergen County, New Jersey. 535 on part of his father's farm . The farm was deeded to him in
1791

• Land, 2 May 1791. 10519 On May 2, 1791, his father conveyed to him for a consideration
of 70 pounds, a tract of 20.60 acres along the north side of
Prospect Avenue, in what is now Park Ridge, which probably
included the 3 acres formerly owned by Abraham. this was the
most easterly part of the father's land to the east of his
homestead. Mindert made his home here, now #285 Prospect
Avenue, in the original part of the house. He sold the
property to Lawrence Lockwood in 1813 and removed to Upper
Preakness with his family, where he purchased the farm of John
E. Merselis.

Jun 1797 Harrington Township, Bergen County, New Jersey. "Will
of Peter Mabye, of Harrington Township, Bergen County, NJ,
dated 6/5/1797, proved 6/27/1797. Mentions sons John (eldest),
Isaac, Casparus, Myndert, Abraham and Jeremias "who is not
capable of supporting himself" and daughters Gerretye, Sophia,
Cathrina, Elizabeth and granddaughter Margaret (daughter of
Anatie, who married Johanes Vanhorn). Not mentioned: sons Peter
and Martinus.
NOTE: The published abstract of this Will does not include the
name Casparus, although he is named in the written will.
Related to this will is an entry in the NJ Orphan Court
Books,1785-1823 (p.151-160,19 Sep 1797) which also lists these
same children, to wit: Children of Peter Maybee, deceased: 1)
John, oldest son; 2) Abraham, Jr, 2nd oldest son; 3) Isaac, 3rd
oldest son; 4) Casparus, 4th oldest son; 5) Myndert, 5th oldest
son; 6) Genetje, oldest daughter, wife of David Van Blarcom; 7)
Sofya, 2nd oldest daughter, wife of John C; Haring; 8)
Catharina, 3rd oldest daughter, wife of Michael Redman; 9)
Elizabeth, 4th oldest daughter, wife of John
Vlereboom/Flereboom; 10) Annatje, 5th oldest daughter, formally
the wife of Johannes Van Horn; Also to Margaret, granddaughter,
and daughter of, Annatje, 5th oldest daughter"

Bogart and Margaret, plus additional lots of 3 and 11 acres
