• Anecdote. 535 Peter Mabie and his wife Jannetje Hogencamp lived on a farm
along the north side of present Prospect Avenue in Park Ridge
[NJ] and River Vole, and were the parents of Abraham, Casparus,
Isaac and Mindert. Members of the outlaw gangs used the farm as
a stopping place, where, caves were dug for their use.

• Baptism, 1717, Reformed Church, Tappan, Orange (now Rockland) County, New York. 10375 witnesses: Pieter Bogert and Fytie Vlierboom

• No Name, 1717, Reformed Church, Tappan, Orange (now Rockland) County, New York. 10375 Pieter Mabie was baptized 1717 the Reformed Church, Tappan,
Orange (now Rockland) County, New York

• No Name, 25 Mar 1769. 121 Pieter Mabie was mentioned in the will of Pieter Mabie 25 Mar
1769 . "Will of Peter Mabee, dated 3/25/1769, proved 7/8/1772,
names his wife Cathalinte, his brother Johannes, his eldest son
Casparus, sons Peter, Joost, Jeremiah, Abraham, and youngest
son Cornelius, and daughters Elizabeth (wife of Abraham
Harring), Sophia (wife of Johannes De Lamater) and Mary (wife
of John Westervelt). NOT mentioned: Johannes and Rachel. Also
named as executor is "my loving brother Johannes". Note that
Johannes was still alive, and served as an executor, when the
will was proved in July 1772."

Bergen County, New Jersey. "Will of Peter Mabye, of Harrington
Township, Bergen County, NJ, dated 6/5/1797, proved 6/27/1797.
Mentions sons John (eldest), Isaac, Casparus, Myndert, Abraham
and Jeremias "who is not capable of supporting himself" and
daughters Gerretye, Sophia, Cathrina, Elizabeth and
granddaughter Margaret (daughter of Anatie, who married Johanes
Vanhorn). Not mentioned: sons Peter and Martinus.
NOTE: The published abstract of this Will does not include the
name Casparus, although he is named in the written will.
Related to this will is an entry in the NJ Orphan Court
Books,1785-1823 (p.151-160,19 Sep 1797) which also lists these
same children, to wit: Children of Peter Maybee, deceased: 1)
