one of the Knights of the Shire for Huntingdon in 1397 (21 Richard II). He was found by an Inquisition Post Mortem to be co-heir with Sir John De Aylesbury (son of Sir John De Aylesbury by his wife Joan, younger daughter of Ralph Basset) to the family of Basset, on the extinction of heirs male.

John married Joan de Bottetourte [42289] [MRIN: 551609296], daughter of John of Mendlesham de Bottetourte [42290] and Joan Weyland [42291], in 1371.
