George was also responsible for formation of the South Bend Paper Box Manufactory, which later became the south Bend Paper Box Company. Speculation is that it is the company purchased by Campbell Box Company which used to be rather prominent in South Bend. There is a warehouse on West Sample Street, just west of the Olive Street/Jasinski overpass, first building on the south side of Sample Street that was one of the businesses buildings. The last known building used for Campbell Box Company is at the corner of Sample and Main Streets, now occupied by North American Van Lines.
