birth heiress and later Sovereign Lady of Montpellier and by her three marriages Viscountess of Marseille, Countess of Comminges and Queen of Aragon.
Maria married Peter II of Aragon King of Aragón [8448] [MRIN: 3477], son of Alphonso II the Chaste of Aragon King of Aragon [8404] and Sancha of Castile Infanta of Castile [8449], on 15 Jun 1204. (Peter II of Aragon King of Aragón [8448] was born in 1178 in Huesca, Spain and died on 12 Sep 1213 in Murčth.). The cause of his death was killed in battle.

On June 15, 1204 he married (as her third husband) Marie of Montpellier , daughter and heiress of William VIII of Montpellier by Eudocia Comnena .
